Buffr is a lead marketplace that connects people looking for auto detailing services with independent detailing businesses. We collect only the information needed to deliver quality leads, verify consent, prevent spam, and operate the marketplace. We require express written consent before outreach and honor opt-outs across all channels within 60 seconds.

Buffr does not provide detailing services, does not set prices, and does not control workmanship. Independent detailers are responsible for their own services. We honor privacy rights, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, and we do not store raw tax or identity documents.


1. WHO WE ARE

Buffr, LLC operates an online lead marketplace.

Buffr sells access to leads, not services.
Buffr is not a party to agreements between customers and detailers.
Independent detailers set their own prices, schedules, and warranties.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the marketplace.

A. Information You Provide
– Name
– Phone number
– Email address
– Service address (street address, city, state, ZIP code)
– Vehicle details and requested services
– Communications sent to us

Service address information is collected solely to match customers with nearby independent detailers and to support quoting and scheduling.

B. Consent & Compliance Records
To comply with TCPA and related laws, we log:
– Consent checkbox state
– Timestamp and IP address
– Page URL or slug
– Form version
– Consent text hash
– UTM parameters (if present)

C. Technical & Usage Data
– IP address
– Browser and device type
– Pages visited and referral source
– Cookie preferences
– Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, when present

D. Partner Information (Status-Only)
For independent detailing partners, we store:
– Business name and contact details
– Insurance status (active or expired)
– Stripe Connect status (charges_enabled / payouts_enabled)
– Tier and policy acknowledgment status

Buffr does not store raw KYC documents, tax IDs, bank details, or identity images.


3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use personal information to:
– Deliver and route lead requests
– Match customers with eligible independent detailers based on service area
– Provide location context to detailers for quoting and scheduling
– Capture and verify express written consent
– Enforce quiet hours and messaging limits
– Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
– Manage partner eligibility and payouts
– Respond to legal, compliance, and support requests
– Improve platform performance and reliability


4. CONSENT, MESSAGING & OPT-OUTS

– Express written consent is required before outreach
– Outreach is limited to 8:00am–8:00pm local time
– SMS and contact frequency limits apply
– Opt-outs using STOP, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE are honored within 60 seconds across all channels
– Suppressed contacts are never re-contacted


5. COOKIES, ANALYTICS & ADVERTISING

We use cookies and similar technologies for:
– Site functionality and security
– Performance measurement and debugging
– Fraud prevention
– Advertising and analytics (when enabled)

Some analytics or advertising tools may be considered “sharing” of personal information under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Your Choices:

– Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals

When a valid GPC signal is detected, Buffr treats it as an opt-out of sale or sharing and applies it automatically.


6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may share limited personal information with:
– Independent detailing partners (up to three per request)
– Service providers (hosting, messaging, analytics, fraud prevention)
– Stripe (payout and eligibility status only)
– Regulators or law enforcement, when legally required

Service address information is shared only with matched independent detailers for the specific job request and is not used for unrelated advertising or location tracking.

Buffr does not sell personal information in the traditional sense.


7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
– Access or know what data we have
– Correct inaccurate information
– Request deletion
– Opt out of sale or sharing
– Limit use of sensitive personal information
– Appeal a denied request

Identity verification may be required before fulfilling requests.


8. DATA RETENTION

We retain data only as long as necessary:
– Consent and opt-out logs: at least 4 years
– Partner eligibility statuses: active period plus 4 years
– Payout metadata: 7 years
– Messaging metadata: limited retention
– Service address data: retained only as needed for lead delivery, disputes, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized


9. SECURITY

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including:
– Role-based access controls
– Encrypted connections
– Audit logging
– Least-privilege permissions

Raw tax, identity, or banking documents are never stored in Buffr systems.


10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Buffr is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.


11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as laws or operations change. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
